Sports.com Betting Site and Navigation
Like most companies owned by
SportingBet, such as
Sportsbook.com, the interface
is the same: Betting ticket, drop down menus and box clicking. However, each site has its own quirks,
schemes and bikini models. Here is the breakdown for .
The Sports.com Sportsbook Webpage
The main page of the site is a little out of control with the ads crawling all over the place. They
also boast that they are "Now taking bets from customers worldwide." Isn't it great how people are
still pimping the Internet for its global ability? Furthermore, the site appears as if it hasn't
been updated in two years. They have a picture of Roger Clemens as a Yankee, Shaquille O'Neal as a
Laker, Alex Rodriguez as a Ranger, Kurt Warner as a Ram and Heather Locklear as Amanda on Melrose
Place. I wonder if I can place a
bet on the outcome of the 2003 Superbowl? I have
this strange feeling the Panthers are going to cover the six points.
By the way, how in the world has Heather Locklear maintained hotness for so many years? I swear,
every generation rediscovers her with each new show and by the time she starts slipping I'll
probably be dead. On the other hand, Meg Ryan looks ten years older every day. I guess it all
depends on the doctor.
Sports.com Navigation and Wagering Tools
As for the navigation, they list one sport per page. You can change sports by clicking a simple
link on the top of the page. There are also the same links right on top of those links. I'm not
sure why. Oh wait, I just noticed another set of quick links on top of the second set. The madness
just won't stop.
Wagering tools...um, let's see, wagering tools...well,
there's your mouse, your computer and...your credit card! Yes, your credit card is a
wagering tool. There's also a flash-based tutorial if you are still having
difficulty placing your bets. It even has those little comic strip bubbles
Charlie Brown uses to talk. Good grief.
Wager Help Through Vegas Insider
One major
wagering tool offered by
is a link to Vegas Insider. Vegas Insider appears to be a partner in the Sportingbet conglomerate,
but that doesn't mean there isn't any useful information on the page. They list the lines at all the
various
sportsbooks and Vegas casinos, as well as some articles on lines. There
are also links to some of those "Pay me and I'll pick the winners" sites, which I have never used
and I leave to your own discretion. Speaking of picking winners, does Jimmy the Greek have his own
website?
